Alright, my friend is going to buy a netbook and his budget is $350. He would love for it to run Minecraft, but if it can't, he understands. He's sort of afraid to get the Eee PC because it has quite a few unfavorable reviews on the battery. Not much more to say, Any help Facepunch?
For games, I am LOVING my Asus 1201T, the battery life is the only downside and it doesn't have an OS... Amazing computer though.
Eee pc.
We're looking at this one right now: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152168 Also, we need it to come with an OS, because he isn't smart enough to understand Ubuntu. (Yes, really) and wants the compatibility of windows.
If he wants to run minecraft, it's not going to work out. I'd find a copy of Windows XP or something on ebay and get him the Eee PC, Minecraft is pretty demanding.
Would there be ANY netbook under $350 that runs minecraft? He really wants to be able to do that.
I got a EEEpc 900a for £140 off ebay, It runs games pretty good, such as AvP Classic, Torchlight even World of Warcraft on low settings is good for questing/ah. And it has a 4Hour Battery standard which is very nice. What are the requirements for Minecraft, as if the netbook can run these type of games im sure it will be able to handle some others.
I know for certain that my old Acer Aspire One didn't do a great job with it. You really need a dedicated graphics chip to play it.
Alright, he'll have to settle for not playing minecraft. Thanks for the help, everyone.
