"4K resolution (3840x2160) monitor with an ultra-fast 144Hz refresh rate" Kinda nice we're starting to see >60hz 4k screens. It'll surely be expensive as hell :v:.
I'm waiting for the GTX 1080 Ti/1180/2080 and a monitor like this to come out before I upgrade, but yeah, I think that the latter is going to be too expensive for me for a while.
I was looking at DisplayPort 1.4 specifications, seems it only supports 144hz with DSC. Does this compression method has a noticable effect on colors? edit: dsc is "visually" lossless whatever that means.
Fuck that's got everything I want from a monitor Why does it have to be an Asus though, every single one of their products I've had has been faulty in some way I don't want to drop like two grand on a monitor for it to die in a year

There's maybe a really tiny bit in a black room with a black screen but its at the sides and really not that noticeable at all. The only issue I have is that the speakers are basically garunteed to die but like, no one should have those as their only speaker anyways. The older monitors speaker I never use because it randomly goes off.

Real close to what I'm looking for in my next monitor purchase, but I'll wait for a freesync version.
You got a TN panel, BLB only affects IPS panels.
there was another listing that was IPS and the same monitor so I got confused best to check reviews and look at "IPS" in search
