You know those weird attitude/feeling surveys you get handed in malls or asked to take online?
I have to administer one for a final, which makes this a great opportunity for you to take one! It's about buying music, and pretty much anybody who knows what that word means is qualified to take it (this means you.)

Don't focus too much on giving really precise answers- most of this is looking for really general correlations and attitudes, not super-precise data. The whole thing should take you five minutes to complete, tops. If in doubt, guess or skip.
STUFF PEOPLE ASK:
Q: Asking for my email? You're going to report me to the RIAA FBI NSA CBS abloo blah blurgle blem
A: I need yea many email addresses to confirm I didn't spoof the data, but nobody is getting a copy of the results that contains any of them. I'm also making physical runs of this that are providing several emails, so if it makes you queasy, just don't answer that question.
Q: I don't buy that much music.
A: Filling it out is still appreciated. Low or no-purchase results are expected.
Q: Why is this so vague/nonspecific?
A: Because it was written by a friggin' committee for application to everyone they could think of. It's also "exploratory", i.e. "that fluffy kind of research you need to do before anybody clears you for the good shit." On the plus side, taking this would contribute to a college changing a class's curriculum and me maybe doing some real industry research afterwards. Think of it as a good deed or something and SOLDIER ONWARD.
Q: I want to comment on a topic you don't ask a question about/aren't specific enough on.
A: I'm doing a physical run of this as well, including intercepts and personal interviews, so there'll be room for miscellaneous commentary in the report. If you want to say something (even "I hate this and you should die"), go for it in this thread.
If you've got some other questions ask ahoy, comment if you've got comments, or whatever. Thanks in advance for your time!
I liked filling out this survey.
I never realized how much I listen to music.
And honestly I would buy more from Brick & Mortar stores if there were more near me, and if digital purchasing wasn't so damn convenient.
Done. I'd like it noted that I don't download any more :v:
And most of my music is physical copies bought from digital stores like Amazon
Checked every genre box except "Metal"
No wonder FP hates me
If I buy a physical CD I find myself way more likely to listen to the whole album. Way less likely if it is nonphysical. Same with books. Ebooks are great and everything, but I find myself only finishing books when I have bought a physical copy.
Perhaps a big part of it is that being on the computer is distracting because I have too many options. I have a difficult time single tasking when on a computer.

Even pop? Eh, although I guess you could be open to certain pop artists. I just find most pop music to be really generic and bad. Most of it just feels overproduced just to make it sound decent and interesting.
There are artists that I like of genres I usually don't listen to, but I wouldn't say I like the genre, I just like the artist. I feel very biased right now because I seems to have some anti-pop attitude. Think it is because I had to listen to a lot of it with my girlfriend today.

Theres more kinds of pop than just the mainstream trash you hear on the airwaves today.
I completed it, didn't think I spent that much a month on music.
if you primarily listen to noise, select “folk”
:v:
Also there wasn't an option to say you don't buy from digital stores
Filled it out :h:
I guess I am hearting everybody who did it. I'm kinda surprised, this got more responses faster than I was expecting.

Better than "select all that apply."

Recently I've been doing the same thing. That's behavior I'd probably be interested in looking at in a proper study, unless Nielsen or someone like that has anything published on the subject, and I don't think they have.

Do you have an MP3 player or an ebook reader? I would think away from a PC you'd still finish things.
Unless you've got a newer one that has a browser built in.
