The top left LED on the fan is blinking sporadically. The computer is brand new, I put it together yesterday. Right now it seems to have stopped, but it was flashing enough to make me worry.
Is it possible to get to the LED and see what's wrong? Or did I plug it in incorrectly? The rest of the LED's do not blink at all. There are 4 of them, 1 on each corner.
Are you sure its not simply a hard drive activity indicator? If it is, its supposed to blink like that, it indicates the computer is reading/writing to/from the hard drive(s)

That is a good idea, but on the side there is the blue power light and a red one that flashes too, which I'm thinking is the real HDD light.
But when I post threads to facepunch it blinks once too. The LED light.
Does it blink when you go into the BIOS?

No. It also appears to have stopped for the time being.
Is it your power LED burning out? All of my LEDs except my HDD light has burned out.
Cut it out and put in a new one, their worth like 5 cents.

I guess it might mean the processor is thinking? :downs:
Or maybe it's to make the fan look cool.

Yeah, It's in there. There's a plastic guard covering it.
Hell I could take it off but I'm not sure I'd do it right.

The processor doesn't think.
If it was caused by what you call 'thinking' it would blink so fast it would look like a constant light.
OP: Have you checked for a loose wire?

No. It'd mean the harddrive is writing/sending data. :downs: .
No. It'd mean the harddrive is writing/sending data. :downs: .
There's no such thing as sending data.
The harddrive can perform two operations: read and write.
The term 'sending data' is essentially the harddrive reading data and temporarily storing the read data in a cache and writing said data somewhere else.
So my point is what you said here:
writing/sending
Is the same thing, even if sending is non-existent.
