Maybe its the fact that police training is different in Sweden, but here in the US, if you're getting assaulted and getting shit thrown at you, you deploy less-than-lethal (Tear gas, beanbags, bananapeel, etc.).
If you're going to discharge a firearm, use it in the purpose of killing your target. What if that round were to hit someone uninvolved?

in the u.s. i've often seen warning shots of LTL usually smoke or flashbang to scare people with loud noises. the article doesn't specify lethal or non lethal and i dont know how it's done in sweden.

Trump called for Russia to find Clinton's emails. I don't think he flat out asked for anyone to hack the DNC. I think its a funny little coincidence that a few days after Trump said something a projects in Sweden that has experienced unrest in the past has a riot.

It's an extremely risky move that could lead to someone getting injured or killed, something the police are not given their jobs to do.
