What do you guys think? It's for my friend.
I don't think cases with built-in power supplies are a good investment, it looks like you can get a better card for that price too.
Do you have a set budget?, i'm not too good at throwing together builds but i could try to help make one.
Does your friend have an OS?, can he reuse some parts?
How trustworthy is Newegg? I've kind of always questioned it.

Assuming your friend's budget is only $500 before tax and S&H, then this would be far better than the combo you linked. Although definitely do tell us how much he is willing to spend on a build.
