• Screen flickers then PC crashes at random

Recently, I've been getting these random crashes while playing games or Youtube. It first starts with the signal being lost for a brief second, coming back on, then 5 seconds later I lose it again, there is a spike in CPU usage and finally the computer completely freezes on me. Resetting it doesn't help as I still have no signal. The only way to make it work is to physically disconnect the power, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back it. It works fine after that, no error messages or problems. Until I play a game that is. I knew it was the graphics card just from the glitches. So I looked around and the best answer I can find is that the new drivers for my card (it's a 8800 GTS 512) tend to break the 8/9 series of cards. I really don't want to buy a new one and I want to get the maximum mileage out of all my parts. I'm most likely need to replace it but I want a second opinion. I want to make sure that it's actually broken before replacing it. Reverting to older drivers doesn't fix the problem. Help on this is appreciated. EDIT: Nevermind. The card just died on me now. I had to remove it as it wouldn't let my system boot up. Goddammit.
