Wireless Adapter has exceptional connection, but pages won't load and applications can't connect to

Problems arose a few months ago, unfortunately don't have an exact date. I was using a generic WiFi dongle when I noticed that I had an exceptional connection, but pages would either take forever to load incompletely, or would straight turn up errors. Applications like Spotify and Plex would be completely dysfunctional. As a trial, I attempted to connect to the router via USB tethering on my Samsung Galaxy S3. The results were exceptional, so I assumed that the problem was with the dongle. I purchased an EDIMAX Wireless adapter that was 802.11b/g/n compatible. It was having acceptable results up until tonight, when it stopped loading pages completely. Once again, I tried the USB phone tether to connect to my router, and pages are loading faster than ever. What could be causing this issues? Could the adapter be bad? Thanks in advance! :smile: [B]

You'll want to make sure this tickbox is unchecked and also that there are no proxy settings in there.

Try doing a ping test. Open command prompt and type ping [url]www.google.com[/url]

The ms should be 2 digits. If it's 3 or more, something like 200ms then there's a problem.

Pages seem to be loading fine, albeit, slower than with the tethered phone. will test over the next 24 hours before marking solved; new suggestions still accepted. :wink:
