This could either be the greatest Marvel film so far or the worst.
I am loving how all these Marvel films are now in the same universe. It really makes it just like the comics.
Not that I'm not gonna see it but I'll be catching this ASAP if they bring in Rocket Raccoon.
So who's going to voice rocket raccoon?

Ray WInstone
They better not under-power Nova.
If they kill off Star-Lord and Nova, they better do it the same way as they did in the comics.

What the fuck? That guy is a live caricature.
I kind of liked how they kept the Avengers small and simple, I don't know if I like them expanding it too much. They also kept everything overall pretty realistic in the "Earth-199999" reality. I'd hate for that to be ruined by a talking raccoon.

That's pretty realistic. A raccoon who achieved enhanced awareness and intelligence through genetic engineering? What? Get that shit out of here!

In the current movie line, Thor is more of an alien than an actual god. Captain America was on basically a super steroid. Sure the serum may not exist in the real world, but there was a scientific explanation for it. And the Hulk is affected by radiation.

Condensed version: Aliens settled on large planet to make loony bin. Abandoned it when funding got cut but left a bunch of robots in charge. Star went nova and the radiation gave the robots sentience (no, I don't know how). The robots genetically engineered the animals that were left behind as pets to help and protect the patients. Rocket Raccoon basically became the sheriff of the bunch.

New concept art from SDCC! From left to right: Drax the Destroyer, Groot, Stalord, Rocket Raccoon and Gamora
The Raccoon still looks silly.
The Racoon reminds me of the Tauren Marine april fools joke Blizzard pulled with Sc2 .
I honestly think that looks awesome. Then I see the raccoon. I wish I didn't have a hard time buying this raccoon. I bet after the film it becomes everybodies favourite character, but for now, it's a fucking raccoon with a big gun. Looks like a character from Star Fox.
Yeah, Rocket Raccoon looks silly. Let's completely disregard the giant walking tree, that looks just fine.
giant trees are badass (see: LOTR). cute little fluffy things with guns look stupid
I hope Groot and Starlord look badass for the movie. Would love to see Nova in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Those guys look bad ass as fuck and then you got the raccoon. ahh man. Joker. [editline]15th July 2012[/editline] In every group of friends there's always one you pretend to like
Yeah, Rocket Raccoon looks silly. Marvel is thinking the same thing as you guys in that he will be hard to take seriously, im sure they are going to put a hell of a lot of effort into him so that you do take him seriously. This isnt some shit low budget movie.
there's the "cool" realistic and the "uncool" realistic little superhero raccoons aren't cool in a live action movie I'm really looking forward to seeing groot though
The only problem with the concept art of Rocket Raccoon is that the proportions are too unbalanced and cartoony. If they even out the proportions; making him more of a small humanoid raccoon and less of a raccoon chibi, he could translate well. More of this: and less of the SDCC concept art.
well, at least nothing beats Dex-Starr, from the DC universe, in terms of silliness [t]http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090602013960/marvel_dc/images/2/24/Dex-Star.JPG[/t] thats right a motherfucking cat
