Why is it called a collection? It's only like two games (not taking into account how long it takes most people to finish). Why not call it 'Knights of the Old Republic: Double Edition' or something?

While true, I enjoyed that flashpoint. Never did it as a group though, I solo'd it at 50.

Wow this is a dream come true! Too bad you can't play it if you have Windows 7. I have the first KOTOR on steam, but it is too unstable. Every time I fix one bug, another pops up in it's place.

I tried installing my KOTOR disc on windows 7 a while ago and the only issue I've had is that the mouse simply does not work.
No matter what.
It's a pretty significant hindrance.
I got some of the main problems out of the way, such as the game not starting up, and not being able to click anything on the main menu. It was horrendous, but not as bad as whats coming up next. Now you have to find all the little bugs that are like pulling teeth when it comes to fixing them. I'm at the part now where I always get stuck because I ran out of patience.
Okay, so I just now started a new game (on a small resolution, I will get the widescreen mod when I'm done with the crashes), and I managed to get to the part where the cutscene triggers where a bunch of goodies and baddies are fighting eachother, and one of the good guys is standing next to a container which then explodes. I threw a grenade at the 3 sith troopers which were down the hall and I got them all. Then I threw another to another trooper which appears behind them. Once that nade goes off, I start looting the bodies closest to me, and as I make my way down the corridor, BAM.. a crash. The funny thing is, is that I always used to crash at this same spot.

I had issues with the mouse too. Go into swconfig and make sure 'Enable Hardware Mouse' is unchecked. Then go into swkotor.ini, and under [Graphics Options], change the EnableHardwareMouse value to 0 (if it's a 1, that is).
Theres lots of different fixes out there. You just got to try them all.
Wow, I never had any trouble with KOTOR 1 on Windows 7, bought it off steam downloaded and ran it without issue.

What I want to know is why LucasArts forbade Obsidian from releasing the patch they had planned that would restore all the content they didn't get to finish before the release date.

Worth it for KOTOR 2 which is nigh impossible to find for sale anywhere.

Isn't Revan a she in the lore? I sure remember that Han Solo-ish guy in KOTOR II mentioning Revan was female and the PC having an option to either correct him or not.

According to whoever's in charge of Star Wars Lore, Revan is canonically a male, while The Exile (the PC for KOTOR 2) is canonically a female.

Your probably thinking of that popular one that was WIP, well that never got finished and then another team had their own resorting the same/a bit more content and actually released it.
