• Broken Silence - Band Logo.

Hey guys, a while ago I posted a song here and asked for opinions on it, the feedback I got was amazing and it's currently in the middle of being mixed again and sounding much better, thanks to you! Our band recently got endorsed, too! A small endorser, but it's a start. So, our Myspace is looking pretty damn bland (http://www.myspace.com/brokensilencebanduk) and none of us have photoshop skills sadly, we're hoping to get a band logo and eventually a Myspace layout, but we have no idea how those work, we just write the music ;__; Could any of you guys be generous enough to make something in Photoshop for us? We'd be forever grateful. I'm not gunna ask for any specifics, beggars can't be choosers, right? But all I'm gunna say is that we're a Metalcore band called 'Broken Silence'. If one of you make a design which I really like though, I might ask for it to be tweaked in a certain way slightly! Any information you can offer about Myspace layouts would be greatly appreciated aswell. Thanks!
Even though it was mostly just talking, I actually enjoyed "Six Months"
What exactly do you mean by band logo? As in just a certain way of styling your band name, a certain type of image that you can use as a trademark, or what? Also, I'll see what I can do. No promises on anything, though. Here's a rough-draft of the font-type I'm going for. This is the first time I've ever done font-typing of any sort, and I'm going without a real design in mind, so let me know what you think. If there's anything specific you have in mind, style-wise, let me know, and I'll see what I can do. I'm probably not the best choice for this, but in case no one else decides to help you, and if you want it, I'm here for you. :v: The approach I'm going for is making the "n" in "broken" and "s" in "silence" to tilt at off angles, like the "n" already does. I may, as a fine-touch, rotate some of the letters (like the "k", I'm thinking) to make them look more "broken".

Your avatar was easy, though. It didn't require any actual creative work; just frame resizing and cutting. This requires creative art-work, which I fail in.

Just a note. Your drummer needs a little bit of work.
I know a guy who can do MySpace layouts. Let me send him in your direction.

I'm strapped for cash at the moment, but otherwise ask him to email me at alexfromhell(at)hotmail.co.uk [editline]11:39AM[/editline]
Quick contribution:
That's pretty awesome actually, I really like the sharp edges coming from it, is there anything else you could add? If you like the style I'd be happy to follow any directions you have.

Apart from that I'm not sure, maybe you could mess with it and add things which you like. The logo will eventually be used like this (http://www.myspace.com/thedaybeforemortalityuk)

The whole grunge thing is overdone and this looks a little more classy to me. I do need to add more sharp bits to balance it out a little though.
