My computer is broken so we're getting a new one. I'm looking for help in choosing parts for the new computer and I'm not very experienced with computer building. I'd like it to be able to run Arma 3 at max settings and have lots of processing power for mathematics and chess engines.
Chess engines...? Well here's my build that I plan on getting that's close to your budget: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=19445451

They're very useful for practice. It can make suggestions on the best possible move, and predict the next chain of moves. Better processing power means that it can think harder on the next moves in chess and give me the best move.
Sounds like cheating at chess. :v:
That seems like a bit overkill on the CPU cooler doesn't it?
it's overkill everywhere, he's spending a lot on the case, RAM, and power supply when he could cut down on those and actually gain performance with a better GPU and a half decent SSD since 64gb's aren't worth $80 when you can get one with twice the storage for $15-$20 more.

I would recommend getting a cheaper case, 8 gigabytes of faster RAM, and 1 TB hard drive unless you really need the other terabyte. As far as CPU cooler I always hear the Hyper TX3 Recommended: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103064 I won't make recommendations on the PSU or SSD, as I don't know enough about either. Upgrade video card as allowable or just save on cash.
