So many puns in this thread. The madam of the house would be most displeased.
Arizona must be sweating like me when I broke a rubber
God dam cheap condoms.

That's just Arizona being Arizona for ya.
I was in arizona last friday.
God dam cheap condoms.
It was like a dam burst, flooding her
For some reason I envisioned a giant condom being used to dam off a river.
Who makes a dam out of rubber, honestly?
I don't really get what all the big hubbub was. (I live in Arizona, near the dam). There was like all these news coverage and shit. For fucks sake, it's just dirt on the other end of the dam, god damn it.
Hah this happened not too far from where I am right now. [editline]08:03PM[/editline] psp401 I think people are more upset about Tempe town lake being down to like 3ft of water now.
Hah this happened not too far from where I am right now.
I was watching 12 and they made it out to be like the Hoover damn just broke. "WATER GUSHING FROM THE BROKEN DAM! D: D: D:"
I live in Arizona, and work a mile from the dam. I agree that the dam being made of rubber wasn't the best idea, but apparently (I was talking to a politician about this today) the federal government wasn't permiting a concrete dam with spill ways. They wanted something that wouldn't prove "Permanant blockage". And the rubber blatters were gauranteed for 20 years, although they were only about 8 years old (That statistic I'm not absolutely positive about). Anyway, this makes changing the blatters much easier.
For some reason I envisioned a giant condom being used to dam off a river.
That is basically the plan behind the dam. And it sucks, because every time we have friends come from the airport, we now have to say "Right near those new condominiums is where the dam burst, and shit everywhere"

Give it another monsoon day like a week ago and it'll be back to what it was.
Holy shit breaking my autos. [editline]08:05PM[/editline] Stop it
Holy shit breaking my autos. [editline]08:05PM[/editline] Stop it
:ninja:
No dam means the water level can't rise back up to where it was. So no boating haha. Even with monsoon rains. But I agree the news made it seem real crazy.
I heard they were rated for 30 years.
Hmm, well then I guess this is more dissapointing than before. And for all of you "Who makes a dam out of rubber people", go play in your boxes. (But Arizona does have the dumbest fucking public services. See: Light Rail.)
dam
C'mon guys, Arizona's fucked up a lot before, no need to Rubber it in their face
