• Asus Sabertooth P67 main PCIe bus stuck at x4

Just got myself a new motherboard and an i5 2500k, the only problem is my main PCIe bus wont go above x4, I currently have 2 6850s in there crossfired so it should be running at x8 like the second slot is. I've tried swapping the cards around and removing one but it didn't make any difference, pretty sure it's a duff board but I wanted to ask around a bit first to see if anyone would have some input. I've tried Google but couldn't find anything. Also I've tried flashing a BIOS update but it made no difference and I'm using GPU-Z to get my bus readings. Specs: Asus Sabertooth P67 Motherboard Intel i5 2500k @ 3.3GHz 8GB G.Skill Sniper RAM x2 AMD HD 6850s (XFX and Gigabyte) Corsair HX750w PSU
Play with the bios, but even then, the difference between x4 and x8 is hardly noticeable.

If the first slot run doesn't at 16x when you've only got one card installed then it sounds like a duff board to me. You'll be able to return it for a replacement at the retailer although make sure you double/triple check all the BIOS settings and all possible graphics card combinations as if they find nothing wrong with your board then you'll be liable for delivery/checking fees.

Got it swapped over the counter, system's running like a boss now.
