Well, basically, I have a good computer, Dual Core, 3 GB RAM, etc, etc, but what is crappy about it is that it has an Intel Chipset, the bad kind(If there are any good), it's integrated, shitty, and overall has made me hate this computer. So what I am asking is it possible just to upgrade my VIDEO card. It's a laptop which is why I am asking, and if it is possible, what is a good video card I can get for around $150.
I'll keep it simple (because of your last threads) and say No. Case closed.
To elaborate on the above post, very few laptops have graphics cards that can be upgraded and none of them use integrated Intel graphics.
@compwhiziitothemax Be Quiet. Now. I'm pretty sure it's possible to upgrade because a laptop is the same as a computer, just mobility, and frankly, it's the best computer I've ever had. Which is bad. Just don't say anything if you aren't going to be helpful and stop rating yourself agree. @Roast Beast It's a Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family.

I don't want to pay 95 fucking dollars for it when I can do it myself. I need to know how to and what kind to upgrade to.

99% of the cases. I'm a fucking rare case. How can I tell?

You can't do shit buddy. Open up your laptop, look at the GPU. You'll find that it is soldered to the motherboard. If you don't believe us take it into a computer shop and see what they say.

But it costs around $95-$130.

If you asked if they can put a new graphics card in they're going to rip you off and just install more ram. Don't ever go to that store again. Otherwise they were talking about other things.
Why do you think I'm acting like I know I can upgrade it? Because you guys are saying that there is a chance, and because the clerk and manager said they could upgrade it. I wouldn't be talking this much shit if I didn't do any research. I just wanted to know if I could and they weren't just trying to scam me, it's RadioShack btw.

[editline]02:20PM[/editline] Except you of course.
you can't upgrade laptop graphics in 99% of cases /quote. I understand if they were lying I just thought that official stores might know a bit more than people on an online forum and I only wanted some back-up info.

Seriously, I've never heard of anyone going to a RS for computer advice, and frankly I don't think I'd ever recommend to do so. Just because two guys working in a radioshack say is can be done doesn't mean it can. You don't know what experience they have. Are you attempting to troll in every single one of your threads? If so, you're failing to do so.
And there are a good handful of people here who have certifications and field experience. Something I'm sure those guys are radioshack don't have.
Open it up and take a picture for us, or give us the model name and we can prove to you why you can't.
Well, you pretty much crushed all hope of me getting a good computer until I win my case, so the next time you see my thread it's going to be about buying a computer. A Laptop to be specific. BTW, the model number is like ML6732 and it's gateway.
why dont you get it?
"I want to upgrade my GPU, I have a laptop can I do this" "baww what do you mean I can't" "fine I'll buy a new laptop instead of something I can upgrade" I look forward to the next laptop upgrade thread
There isn't going to be one? Once I win my case I can buy a laptop with no budget.
There isn't going to be one? Once I win my case I can buy a laptop with no budget.
or you can get a good desktop, a good size monitor and be upgradeable for the future
