UKIP's Nigel Farage offers post-election deal with Tories
UKIP would do a post-election deal with a potential minority Conservative government if there is an EU referendum in 2015, Nigel Farage has said.
In extracts from his memoirs in the Daily Telegraph, the UKIP leader ruled out a formal coalition, saying voters would see it as "selling out".
But he said he would agree to a pact to prop up a Tory government in return for an EU referendum before Christmas.
David Cameron has promised a referendum in 2017 if his party is elected.
The UKIP leader said the terms of his deal with the Tories would be "very precise and simple".
"I want a full and fair referendum to be held in 2015 to allow Britons to vote on being in or out of the European Union," he said.
He said the wording of the question put to voters was "hugely" important, and as a "starting point" proposed: "Do you wish to be a free, independent sovereign democracy?"

They might have some crazies voting for them but they will surely drag down your chance somewhat functional people might vote for your somewhat reasonable party.
Nigel 'Flip-Flop' Farage

Perfect for a Conserative partnership then.
They're only going to have like 5 or so seats, they're unlikely to be big enough to prop up anyone
Farage isn't saying he will coalition with the Tories, merely he, and the Northern Irish party, will support them on a case-by-case basis if Cameron promises a referendum by Christmas. Not really a flip flop, imho.
Conservatives, UKIP and the DUP would be an unholy trinity.

It would just be a matter of how much damage they could do before the next election breaks up their coalition.

This is literally impossible in the modern world unless you're North Korea except that they're not a democracy.

NK doesn't have a Democracy and relies a lot on foreign aid.

And also barely a country.
The < 10 (i've seen some projections as low as 3 ha) seats they're going to get really aren't going to make any difference. Certainly not enough to strike some stupid ass deal like this. Even then, the tories are pro-EU, and I bet they wouldn't be up for causing the hit to our economy leaving the EU would be even if it meant being able to form a government. Sounds like Farage is a little big for his boots.
Nigel "All the parties are as bad as each other, especially the Tories, so let's get pally with the Tories" Farage.

Him, most of his party officials, most of their MEPs and all of their MPs are ex-tory, though, so it makes sense.
Farage himself only jumped ship over the signing of the Maastricht treaty, which increased European powers over its member states. Beyond that single decision, his politics is the same as the rest of the right wing of the conservative party.
