What makes this film so special? It's publicly funded, which means it's being paid for entirely by donations from internet users. Another unique attribute, this movie is going to be released on the internet via torrents, so it's 100% free. For each dollar you donate you gain 1 frame of the movie and a 1% share of any cash made from the movie. Plot: In 2007 the New South Wales government suddenly scrapped a plan to utilize the water in the disused underground train tunnels beneath Sydney's St James Train Station. In 2008, chasing rumours of a government cover up and urban legends surrounding the sudden back flip, investigative journalist Natasha Warner led a crew of four into the underground labyrinth. They went down into the tunnels looking for a story – until the story found them. This is the film of their harrowing ordeal. With unprecedented access to the recently declassified tapes they shot in the claustrophobic subway tunnels, as well as a series of candid interviews with the survivors, we come face to face with the terrifying truth. This never before seen footage takes us deep inside the tunnels bringing the darkness to life and capturing the raw fear that threatens to tear the crew apart, leaving each one of them fighting for their lives. Website: www.thetunnelmovie.net Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u47cTpo70EE&feature=player_embedded Here's the news article that I discovered this film from... Good idea, but some shit films might come out of it. I love the idea since I'm becoming a movie director.
This looks pretty interesting. Might buy a frame.
Coming soon on torrents! lol
wow original idea.
I don't see a good movie coming out of this type of production. But then again. The trailer makes it look okay. Not a very high budget. But it still looked like it could end up being a good surprize.
I don't see a good movie coming out of this type of production.
It's a good way to figure out who is the cause of bad movies, is it Hollywood or the consumer? If this movie does well it should be obvious.
If they're :airquote:abandoned:airquote: tunnels why are there lights on?
If they're :airquote:abandoned:airquote: tunnels why are there lights on?
The government recently abandoned it, it's not like it's been absent of life for hundreds of years.
So if you invest money in frames of the film you'll get a percentage back from whatever money the film makes? Not trying to burst anyones bubble but I'm curious, how does a film that is released 100% free on the internet make money?
