I hope we don't have to pay full price for this if we already own both games on PC. I'd like to see something Deus Ex HR did with their director's cut.
Hell yeah, Last Light ran way better for me than 2033 did, so I'm looking forward to playing that on the new engine.
"Ranger Mode, for the masochists seeking a true challenge." Hahahahahah As awesome as these games are, they were HARDLY a challenge. Last Light especially.

oh my god they brought back the analog watch yesyesyes
That sounds like quite a bit of polish for 2033. Surprised they bothered with it at all when they probably could have just released a GOTY of 2034. That said, I didn't care for 2034, but liked 2033 and might pick up Redux because of that, so I guess it works.
I still haven't been able to play Last Light yet. Man, I'm behind on so many games.

This is the first time I've heard a developer brag that their game has optional bad shooting, I like it.
Very interested to see 2033 with new stuff added in. Loved the game, and in my eyes it was superior to Last Light too.
based 4A, I wonder if you can change the FOV this time.
I'd gladly pay the full price for this. These guys really are game dev heroes to me, considering the abysmal conditions the game was developed under and it's one of those cases where I gladly pay a high price, knowing that I support people who thoroughly deserve every cent of it.

It's half off of any game you own, according to their twitter: https://twitter.com/MetroVideoGame/status/469527532682117120
Already own Metro 2033 or Last Light on Steam? Upgrade to Redux versions for 50% off, 25% off the Metro Redux bundle. http://store.steampowered.com/app/286690/
This is bordering to serious fan-service. Love it.
pre-ordered, hopefully release is soon enough!
Price is a bit steep, but will probably pick it up during a sale.
The upgrades also extend beyond the game's visuals, overhauling the enemy AI and combat. Expect to see the 'mask wipe' mechanic make its debut in 2033, along with weapon customization and stealth mechanics.
oh man thats gonna make it harder to decide which game is better over the other, last light was always the easy winner because of how much better the overall combat and stealth was compared to 2033
i don't think last light really needs it but these guys produce such amazingly good visuals that it doesn't matter
Wow, they somehow made 2033 look better. Didn't even think it was possible.
I hope the discount stays after the games come out. I'm definitely going to get the 2033 Redux but I wont get the Last Light Redux 'til later on.
Ranger Hardcore is the easiest mode in the game. You'd think the harder difficulty would force you to take care of your bullets and save ammo. That's true, but I managed to have around 1200 currency bullets by the time I reached the end of the game. Game definitely needs a more difficult difficulty modifier.
I hope we won't have to purchase them again if we already own them on steam.
I could see wanting a discount, but expecting them to be free is dumb.
I hope they made stealth better in LL. It was challenging in 2033 because you had to watch out for traps but in LL you could walk right in front of them and they wouldn't notice.
The one thing that I'm most interested in seeing is how much that horrible amoeba blob section from 2033 has changed. If it's not tweaked at all then I'll be a little disappointed. It was easily the worst part of that otherwise solid game.
