I remember back when i was little, my parents bathroom would always smell "funny". When i asked them, my dad would (literally) say that "i had to take a shit". and when i asked why my mom was in there, he would say he needed help wiping.
Now this was back when i was maybe 6 years old so i pretty much just believed them with no questions asked. But i noticed it happened ALOT!
A few years later i found this empty ovaltine container at the back of their bathroom cupboard with a mysterious bag with green "herbs" in it. I asked my brother about it (older) and he told me it was weed. I told my mom i knew and she was making up all these excuses as to why she did it (because back then i wasn't really stoner-friendly[i was like 8]).
anyways i forgot about it and didn't really care from then till now. But my mom is STILL naive, ignorant smoker. She always gets pissed off when i come home smelling like pot, or my eyes are red, and she keeps telling me to quit because it's affecting my grades and shit. (I disagree). In fact the first time i got kicked out of my house (was for 4 months) it was because she found a pipe in my jacket pocket and it got blown out of proportion.
A few days ago she even told me that i could OVERDOSE on weed, and she was genuinely serious with that statement. what the fuck?
She's been smoking since i've been born, yet she thinks i can overdose? she thinks it makes my grades worse? She thinks it makes me anti-social? She still always gets pissed if i come home baked/burnt out.
how do i deal with a situation like this? Like she's a weed smoker herself, but she's so ignorant, she doesn't even know the fundamental knowledge of basic weed smoking. any help?
tell her its hypicritical of her to tell you not to smoke and make a big deal about it but smoke herself. its bad parenting
she would obviously know basic weed knowledge if shes been smoking for years, i reckon shes just trying to persuade you to dislike weed, because no parent wants their kids to start doing drugs
Tell her: "Get your fact straight, bitch!".
The problem will be solved.
Just call her out when she's being manipulative. Also do your research so you can make factual statements that you can back up.

It sounds like you are in a pretty awful situation though, having parents who smoke but aren't cool with their children smoking? Seems like they're the ones with the problem, not you. They're probably not responsible or strong enough to moderate their usage so they are trying to tell you not to do it at all. I think you should do some research to get the exact facts you need to prove your mother wrong. I mean what the fuck, overdose?
They probably want you to stop in fear that you'll take from their stash.
