Should I get a corsair 850w with 70a on the 12v rail, or a silverstone 1000w with 80a on the 12v rail.
Specs i7 930 @4ghz
1, soon to be 2x GTX 470s
1000w is pretty overkill. 850 should do you fine.

850 W with me too. But isn't 470 power consuming? If you had the cash,no doubt the 1000W will be your choice.
!000 is complete overkill for dual toxic 5970s much less two 470s. 850 is fine and it's better built.

That's like saying you might as well pave your driveway 20ft longer, just in case you need extra stopping distance.
