I was playing dead island for 2-3 hours. I would freeze in place for 2-10 seconds with the background music still playing.
Then if i continue playing, in about 5 minutes my computer screen changes to a black screen or white screen or a stripe screen (black and white stripes vertically). Happen about 3 different times with difference screens and they fully kill the background sound. I ahve reverted all my overclocks to default settings.

Graphics card is not in crossfire and my main card (6950) Runs about 70-80c
AMD Phenom (default clocks) Run about 36-45c
Both are safe temps. What can possibly be causing this?
What, you have 2 6950's but not in crossfire?
Anyways, it sounds like a GPU driver crash to me, try uninstalling the AMD drivers, use driversweeper in safe mode to make sure all traces of the driver are gone and reinstall it.
If that doesn't work try removing one of your GPU's and try again, if it still happens put the one you took out back in and pull the otherone out.
I turned it off to see if it was causing the crash. I had my 6950 unlocked and cf with another 6970.
Gonna reinstall my drivers CCC been acting weird lately.
It was my 6950, It isn't stabled unlocked and clocked to a 6970 clocks anymore weird... It was able to pass through furmark for 4 hours last time. Now barely goes pass 30 minutes.
