Good riddance, it was always a shit service.
While I wasn't fond of Gamespy directly, the fact that Nintendo won't be shifting DS and Wii servers to a new service is a real shame. A lot of their games have huge online installbases that are just going to instantly be destroyed. Even Mario Kart DS, their first wifi online title, still is capable of 4-player matches.

A shit service that found itself in dozens of good games. It's good that it's gone but it's unfortunate that tons of games will be left without official online services.

Gamespy is mandatory for multiplayer in some games, so virtual networks won't solve everything.
