Dear Call of Duty,
Please die already.
Thanks Everyone.
No no no, stop, this is all wrong. Why is there a bacon skin pack? Who thought this was a good idea?
Dear Call of Duty,

Thanks Everyone.
Black Ops 2 is actually one of the better ones, at least in its storytelling. They actually did well in that regard. But the multiplayer is still the same unbalanced, ultra-grind oriented, dudebro shooter and is still crap.
Only worth it if I can cover myself in bacon too.
I am the Bacon Avenger! FEAR ME.
bacon skin is something id expect from an internet parody
looks like shit hits the fan
This is actually quite freaking funny, bacon camo.
Pre-order exclusives - now not exclusive at all!
so when are we getting the exclusive narwhal horn knife, activision?
Pre-order exclusives - now not exclusive at all!
oh and this
I don't really recall them saying Nuketown was an exclusive. I thought they were gonna release it in a map pack or something later.
Dear Call of Duty,

Call of Duty is a quarantine, a necessary evil.
I have no problems with any of this at all. The bacon skin is only cosmetic isn't it, so that's the same kind of stuff we get from TF2 (which probably has more ridiculous things)? And hey, at least they don't let you buy weapons that you don't have with real money (take note Valve).
Extra slots I suppose is an alright idea, everyone starts with five free slots anyways and that's not bad at all but I do worry that this could set a precedent for future CoD games which might drop that to two or three or something (or remove unlocking extra slots with prestige levels).
So now Gamebanana skins are DLC.
That's hilarious, totally bonkers and over-the-top.
Definitely the direction I'd want the game to take rather than *realism*, tho I'm sure fans would disagree.
Not sure what's bad about making content more available either. Aren't map packs a really bad community divider? I think this is a great decision.
Lol bacon so epic xD
^_^
Looks like something you'd find on FPSBanana.
Now I want bacon.

Dear Aide, stop whining about something you don't have to buy instead of being a fucking baby and whining about it.
Thanks Everyone.
So not only did Activision piss off preorderers when they decided to not make Nuketown 24/7 like the preorder promised, now they're making it not an exclusive.
Did someone from EA invade Activision?

Jesus, you think you've seen it all until you see someone getting angry over free DLC.
Free DLC is good.
Free DLC that is a former pre-order (or time-limited, such as event Pokemon) exclusive is bad.

Maps should never be pre-order bonus. I won't feel ripped off now that I get to finally enjoy it in hardcore rotations.

So having more people to play on the map with is bad now? It just seems like a case of wanting to exclude people for no reason, I mean a pre-order is a pre-order, it's not like it cost anyone extra money. I've always thought pre-order DLC was a bad thing anyway, figured that was pretty much agreed upon. Time-restricting content like that only splits communities and cheats cautious buyers out of content.
I'd say this is a situation in which bacon does not make something better.
jump on call of duty for cosmetic microtransactions
praise tf2 for gameplay-changing microtransactions

I stopped playing TF2 after microtransactions
also to be fair CoD added weapon DLC too

I never saw anyone praising TF2's microtransactions

As someone who has Nuketown 2025, no, you are wrong. The map should be made freely available to everyone, making it a pre-order was the mistake.

Aside from the four or five item/hat sets that give you bonuses (5% crit resistance wow so gameplay changing), all the microtransactions in tf2 are cosmetic
A player with absolutely nothing but the default stock weapons can play just as a well as a player who has bought everything from the store

This really goes against any sort of logic.
You'd rather have DLC that stays exclusive forever, meaning that only preorderers or special-edition owners will have access to it, than DLC that goes free after a while so the entire playerbase can enjoy it?
Why would it even matter if they got it later? Are gamers really that much of whiny babies that they can't have "non-exclusive plebs" ruining their entitlement club?

Yeah, just like the weapons with different and sometimes arguably better stats?
