Title says it all but i should clarify, I have had this drawing problem for as long as i can remember. Every time i sit down to draw something i end up making it oversized, I'm not talking about one part of the body being bigger then the other I'm talking about the head taking up half the page leaving no room for anything else. I overcome this plenty of times if i focus on making it smaller and more detailed but each time i freedraw it happens.
Any relations/Comments/suggestions?
umm suggestions? Do what you've been doing, "focus on making it smaller" or use bigger sheets of paper :)
Hmm I put suggestions in there thinking broad, Suppose if theres any specific advice to this problem then lay it on me.
They may be large but are they detailed or precise, because if they aren't, you're just wasting paper space.
Well a little detailed but i do smaller sizes of the same drawing and the details tend to stand out more the smaller it gets.
Can you post a picture of the example?
Would if my scanner ever gets done scanning. To just clarify when i detail a face in the big picture the detail has to be bigger as well to fit the size and it just seems when theres more of something the less detailed it gets..... if that makes sense to anyone
First sketch a simple skeleton or something if you want to keep the proportions right or do small thumbnails before starting to draw.

Exactly. You'll want to draw an extremely rough sketch of the overall form of whatever you're drawing. For example, if you wanted to draw a body, sketch out a rough (as in, only a few lines) mockup of a skeleton (key parts only), and then work your way from there.
