Under what circumstances will McDonalds do a drug test?

I had an interview at McDonalds today and everything went well. They asked me about what size I wear and told me when orientation will be. They also scheduled a second interview. I was planning on smoking tonight but I was wondering under what circumstances would McDonalds drug test me? I was told they test if you injure yourself or staff, cause damage to property or violate any other company rule. I am 17 years old and it looks like I got the job, last time I smoked was when I greened out two weekends ago. Any info?

you last smoked 2 weeks ago, there will be no trace on a drug test.

mcdonalds probably doesn't drug test or else it would be out of half its work force

and i only say google because holy shit how many people have asked this exact question on yahoo answers?

also it's pretty easy to find out how long those metabolites that drug tests detect last with a google search.

but just because i'm nice i'll answer all those burning questions

When my friend worked as a welder at a local factory, his boss once told him that he stopped drug testing all job candidates because too many people failed that he wanted to hire :v:

it's actually kind of strange because before most of the people who worked in workshops and stuff like that were stuffy old mechanics. now it's not uncommon to see someone with facial piercings and a mohawk with goggles on expertly cutting a sheet of metal in half.

As an employee of McDonald's in Illinois, no, they do not drug test you under any circumstances.

Mcdonalds gave me a form to do a drug test. I Worked there for a couple months and never had to do one. :rock:
