Anyways, Im looking into getting an older phone. They are cheap, reliable, almost unbreakable, and have the battery life of multiple days. So please, if you have any ideas of some cool phones you like, want to share, or have any personal experience with. Post them! They can be newer or older really. I just want to browse around at what the hip community thinks is a good choice. Tech savvy, gamers and stuff totally know what to get and what will last. So thanks man or helping! Right now I have an older lg flip phone that is about to break so I really need a replacement. Much love!

those were the most unreliable pieces of butt hole back then. ALWAYS got dust in the screen, and they broke easy. they were like the current iphones really.

I'm using the Sony Ericsson W810i. I got my first one in Fall 2006 and it lasted until around.. 2010ish. I'm on my 2nd one now because I love it so much.

Pros:
-excellent texting, in my opinion. Easy to learn t9, texting one handed is easy.
-small
-tough as fking nails
-camera is neat
-can add storage w/ pro-duo memory card
-mp3 player option is good
-external speaker is good
-I've dropped mine in water a few times and after drying it out, it's fine
-***LED flashlight feature! soo handy.
cons:
-speaker volume when calling is too quiet (biggest problem)
-the goofy proprietary sony plug can be a pain, especially when using it to play music
-needs the sony-to-aux cable to plug to plug in listening devices
The first one of mine died after I dropped it for the millionth time.. the screen went all white. I could still navigate the phone by memory and make calls, but a white screen just won't do.
They're cheap now, too.

I use a smartphone because they are one of the best and/or defining devices of this period of time, and keep a spare Samsung dumbphone in my pack as a back-up.

Something in between a mobile phone and a handheld gaming apparatus. It was super expensive at launch and the total game library for it is made by 20 games, more or less.

This is my first and only dumbphone, I was quite late in getting a mobile phone. I only got one when I started college and it only got eight months use before being replaced by a zte blade which itself has recently been replaced by a Samsung Galaxy S3.

Awesome keyboard for texting
Battery lasts really long unless you're constantly texting, then it'd be just a day
Cons:
No MMS
Short memory for SMS
Used to have a Sony Ericsson. The one in the picture is a slightly newer model, mine was old, second hand, had a 3 minute battery life and the only button that worked was the 5 button.
