Gaming PC for my friend between £500-£800 (Option for built)

My friend wants me to find him a decent gaming PC but I know fuck all about computers apart from - Prebuilt: usually bad.
He's looking for a decent computer able of running BF:BC2 withing that price range and is hoping that where he buys it from it has the option of them building it. (So he doesn't have to)
I don't think there is a service where they build it for you. It's either pre-built or build it yourself.
We currently ship systems within the USA (includes Hawaii, Alaska and Military APO address) and Canada only.
Not to mention how much it would cost to ship anyway.
Just to make sure, its about 800 to 1200 US Dollars?

912 US dollars which is in the price range. I left plenty of room for him to pick whatever case he wants. I'm waiting for a second opinion from others as well.
Gigabyte GA-P55 Mobo

1. The Euro is so strong against the pound right now that it will be really expensive.
2. shipping will also be high
