Feels like just last month when gabe was praising Ivy Bridge and now they've crossed into Broadwell.

they follow a schedule that goes like this

new architecture, same process
old architecture, smaller process (32nm, 22nm, etc)

and it keeps repeating

so a new chip is never entirely new

They haven't crossed into Broadwell, Haswell was only just released. The Roadmap for a few upcoming chips is also leaked [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Tick-Tock#Roadmap]see here[/url]
