A singleplayer free weekend game? That can be beat in six hours?
Really great stealth game as long as you don't abuse Blink and shy away from combat.

Its Short but Sweet, the question is if its Sweet enough for you.
Ive played through it again to see the alternative path and it gets really dark.

I guess they're banking on people wanting to play the DLC as well.
it's well worth the money

yeah but it has an extremely HIGH level of replay value
you can beat morrowind in 4 minutes though, what's your point? My first Dishonored play-through was MUCH longer than 6 hours.
What to say about this.
Great game, I love it. If you are considering this or the latest Thief, get this. You will get a better, more fun game that is more true to the Thief franchise.
That being said whole weekend is more than enough time to explore the game.
One can definitely play through the game at least once over the weekend. And for all the replayability plus the DLC makes this a good deal.

By this logic, Dishonored is only 40 minutes.
Sure, Morrowind can be done that fast, but only if you do really specific set ups and know all the glitches and exploits, whereas with Dishonored and this free weekend, you have multiple days to finish it. DAYS. As Adnap said, they're banking on people wanting the DLC.
I highly recommend giving this game a shot if you've got any interest in it at all. Despite a few flaws here and there it's well worth your time.
Having never owned any of it myself, I can't speak one way or the other about the DLC, but IMO the base game is highly replayable, so I'd say it alone is worth more than just playing for free. This goes along with the fact that I feel Dishonored is at its best when you slow down and take the stealth approach which, in my case, took several sessions over more than just a weekend to complete.
microsoft gave this to me for free forever
step it up valve
microsoft gave this to me for free forever

that's OK because it'd cost less buying it rather than spending money for xbox live
I don't see me having to pay to play online on steam
step it off microsoft
Was pondering if this is worth a purchase. This free weekend could end up being another sale for them.
A bit too short and a bit too easy but still a great game. The story DLCs (Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches) are very good. Dunwall City Trials is fun too if you like these kinds of mini-challenges.

its free to play forever
if you pay for it
The "click here" link on the store page isn't working for me, it just loads the store page in Steam.
It's quick to beat, but very replayable
The "click here" link on the store page isn't working for me, it just loads the store page in Steam.
Restart Steam, it always needs to be rebooted if there's a free game to download and play to load in the data for it to be downloadable or something like that.

I've spent 52 hours on it total personally
Really great stealth game as long as you don't abuse Blink and shy away from combat.
Even the combat is easy when you learn how to counter.
Just started installing for the free weekend, I've wanted to buy this for a while but never really had the motivation, nor cash, but I do now.
Pretty excited
Really great stealth game as long as you don't abuse Blink and shy away from combat.
Don't use the choke function either, makes Stealth at least as easy as the Blink power. The wallhack power is also as broken as it sounds, no gameplay reason to not permanently keep it on. In fact, just use WASD + E + the mouse for turning unless you're in a dialogue.
Personally I thought Dishonored had hints at a really interesting, intriguing setting in the books and rhymes that tell of exotic places, but imo all the NPCs made the world you actually witness really dull (beyond the general doom-and-gloom atmosphere).
I really like Dishonored as a concept, but I hope they'll execute it better in the inevitable sequel.

No holds barred combat is pitifully easy, even on the higher difficulties.
Upgrade to agility to doublejump. Congratulations, you can now drop assassinate everyone.

Hur dur, if i exploit my way to the end, i can skip the whole game in 4 minutes. What a stupid argument.
Its a FPS that has replay value through the various choices you can make, and ways you can access the situation, but regardless of what you choose you'll still see all the levels and all the content.
It has much more replay value then the avg FPS, but its hardly a "extremely HIGH level of replay value".
If anyone ever asks me about games with good level design, I'll point to this. The multiple pathways, using your powers as tools, hidden secrets, and atmosphere make this one of the best singleplayer experiences ever.
Seems like they're trying to hook people in on the story for the sequel.
