Hydroboard would be a more suitable name. Too ambitious.
I wonder how much more powerful it would have to be to do the same thing with air
Thaw would be fun!

Looks like it's the same technology as that water jetpack

This is gonna look so silly to us in 100 years, when we're flying around in hover-shoes like the way now we look back at photos of scientists in lab coats adjusting their glasses staring at what may as well be a massive dehumidifier with washing machine hoses attached to it, and one guy's holding a printout that says 'HELLO'
Wait, the board works on water?
Futute is here.
Where does the giant hose go?
Hydroboard would be a more suitable name.
That also sounds a lot cooler
So it's a big hose attached to a snowboard future
Hydroboard would be a more suitable name. Too ambitious.
how bout waterboard oh wait
Where does the giant hose go?
There's a boat with a giant pump that it pulls along.
looks cool as hell but i bet the wipeouts hurt like a bitch.
Where does the giant hose go?
the water
Though I suppose if you have the money to buy a beach/resort house and run the maintenance costs on that thing it'd be a cool hobby
That's pretty fucking cool.
Not a real hoverboard, Seth Sentry won't be happy.
Looks like it's the same technology as that water jetpack
Made by the same guy.

I'd imagine it wouldn't have as much thrust as it would in air, but it still seems like it might be an issue having all that force possibly working against you
This looks so unbelievably cool. Probably takes months of practice to get any good at it however.
Close enough :v:
I wonder how much it would cost to make one of these. It's basically a tube attached to a board, that would be cheap enough, what size motor would it need, and how much would that be? The actual engine looks like a trimmed down jet-ski, which are a few thousand, though I'm sure something suitable could be picked up second hand for much less.

The brochure says the power output of your PWC has to be between 180HP and 300HP. So yeah, look for an engine and a pump that can push 250HP worth of water, a very flexible yet tough high pressure hose with high diameter, some smooth nozzles...
It would be awesome if you got a job as a demonstrator for one of these, just flying around in front of crowds at the beach and shit.
It looks nice, but I admit, it would be a lot more interesting if they were able to create an engine small enough to attach to the hoverboard itself to push the water. As opposed to having it it external.
Wait. . .you have to use your FEET?! That's like a baby's toy!
An interesting bit of high-pressure tech, but only really good for extreme sports holidays. Still a ways off from a true hoverboard with proper levitation, but cool and fancy nonetheless.
