OP could have had more content, but an interesting read. [editline]30th November 2010[/editline] Take me back to the days of Windows 3.1. We've come far, haven't we?
[img_thumb]http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/9486/capturenc.png[/img_thumb] lol
The typical anti Microsoft person. I should go install Win 1.00 in a VM for fun.
Aaah. The simple days when using task manager to kill a hung process resulted in a crash.
It proved to be a popular (albeit unstable) OS.
On windows 98. Teehee. An interesting read to say the least. Although I must say, Windows 1 and 2 live on through the high contrast theme in Windows 7 :v: [editline]30th November 2010[/editline] Also the Vista slide is spot on. [editline]30th November 2010[/editline] I really like this article. It was very unbiased.
Aaah. The simple days when using task manager to kill a hung process resulted in a crash.
Good old Windows... Vista... Wait what? Lol, just kidding!!! I love me some Windows.
methinks OP's name does not fit the thread anyway updating this post after I read the article [editline]1st December 2010[/editline] while i'm using linux edit: just realised only windows system I really like is windows xp don't like aero at all
PC world is crap, they have crap sources and half of their tech support are neckbearded lonely illiterates.
[img_thumb]http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/9486/capturenc.png[/img_thumb] lol
I'm not sure if that guy knows the meaning of the word 'popular'. But then again, judging from that post, there can't be much that he actually knows.
[img_thumb]http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/9486/capturenc.png[/img_thumb] lol
He's obviously a computer illiterate who doesn't know that downloading every toolbar that you find AND using Norton/McAfee will keep your computer secure as a safe made of swiss cheese.
Oh god, windows 98 memories
The typical anti Microsoft person. I should go install Win 1.00 in a VM for fun.
I'm anti shit in general, not everything Microsoft puts out sucked, but I'll never forget the ones that I was stuck with. My reactions to every release: WIN95 : DOS with Gui, crap WIN98 : Win95, with less bugs NT4 : Neat stuff WIN Me : Unspeakable shit Win 2000 : Ok, I forgive you for that last transgression Win XP : Uh, 2000 got kinda fat Win Vista : The fuck. Win 7 : What Vista should have been.
2000 was the best version of windows in my eyes [editline]1st December 2010[/editline] it was a skinny-decaf-windows-xp
nLited XP forever! :buddy:
I used Me for 2 years and it never crashed on me.. And I was 5 years old.
I used Me for 2 years and it never crashed on me.. And I was 5 years old.
this
I used ME for about the same period when I was a kid. I think it's around 2000-2002 (because XP had been out for a while and I was still on ME). I got a blue screen mayby once a month, it wasn't that bad.
WIN98 : Win95, with less bugs WIN Me : Unspeakable shit Win XP : Uh, 2000 got kinda fat Win Vista : The fuck. Win 7 : What Vista should have been.
Uhh, Win98 crashed more than ME before SP updates. I never actually had many problems with both, though. XP wasn't really fat at all, and I really don't understand the Vista hatewagon. Windows 7 is almost exactly the same as Vista.
nLited XP forever! :buddy:
Maybe, when xp was popular.
2000 and 7 are my favourite Windows versions. But I'll always have a soft spot for my first computer with DOS/Win3.1 and Commander Keen with 1MB of RAM, and also my primary schools old as Mac with Monkey Island and some contraption game where you had to complete a task with balls, ramps, TNT, rope and all that.
Win98 crashed more than ME before SP updates.
Since when did non-NT based Windows have service packs?
Since when did non-NT based Windows have service packs?
MS Windows 98 Customer Service Pack Not to mention the unofficial service pack updates that are flying around, too.

I used it right when it came out and for two years after that, and I'm actually still using it today on my laptop, and I've never had a single problem. Performance was always great and was just increased & refined with the service packs. It was never sluggish and I really noticed no difference between it and Windows 7 except for the GUI.

Anyone who actually has used Vista before knows that there's barely any difference between Win7 and Vista.
Retarded bandwagons, that's why. Anyone who actually has used Vista before knows that there's barely any difference between Win7 and Vista.
The only thing is that it took me ages to figure out where all the customization was at.

Oh 3.1 the good old days.

I used it when it first came out until I got Win7, and so did a few mates, only problem some of them had were with early nvidia drivers but that's not a Vista problem itself.
