What would you guys recommend? I can spend a good amount, but please don't exaggerate.
Bump, not sure what to get. I was planning on getting audiophile headphones for my PC and then just using them for my PS3 when I need to, but most of them aren't USB headphones so... Not sure what to do...
http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1089375 This thread is a lot of help, and you don't need USB headphones. Something like this would work with a pair of any headphones. Here is an example on amazon. http://goo.gl/HjYBo

Get some HD555, HTF600, or some other headphone with a good soundstage.
The ps3 wireless headsets a good option if you ask me, cheap too at 100 dollars.

But as Shadaez said, as minimum he'll need a external amplifier with volume control plus the required cable to hook the PS3 up to said amplifier. And knowing that most headphone amplifiers I've encountered had female mini-jack plugs as both input and output OP will probably need some along the line of THIS combined with the stock composite cable that came with his PS3 to hook the PS3 up to the afromented amplifier.
100 dollars is in no way cheap.
It's certainly robbery if we're taking sound quality into account.

On my PC. The sound quality sounds pretty good. Not that much bass though, but I hear things such as people behind me in call of duty well. And the microphone also works well.
