[Q] Creating a bump map for lq model from hq model
4 replies, posted
Hey guys,
so basically that's all. I have a super high-poly model and I need to transform the details onto a low-poly model using textures. Would you please give me some advice?
Also, do the models need to have the same "base model" (do I need to use the original lq model or can I use a different one)?
Thanks for any advice

Yes! That's exactly what I wanted, BUT...

I'm not using a flat shape. Does that affect the process or can I just create a huge cylinder around it and render to texture using it?
Yes you can, if mapped right it will capture are the details on the flat shape :3
