Guys, I found a thinkcenter m92p on ebay, here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lenovo-ThinkCentre-M92p-3237-C31-Desktop-Computer-Intel-Core-i5-3470T-2-90-Ghz-/111043480338?pt=Desktop_PCs&hash=item19dab50b12
But I just want to gut it for the i5 inside. Will this work? Becuase if the CPU is soldered to the board or something, it's not worth buying, even for 1 buck. Thanks.
It uses an LGA1155 socket, so it should work. That is, assuming the motherboard you want to use it in supports it.
Although I don't know why you'd want to scrap such a nice machine, it'd make an excellent server/router.
The bids are probaly gonna overlap what the CPU will cost anyways.
IMO, don't bother. I bet someone can make a better use of it anyways.
Ah well it was $0.99 when I saw it, hopes dashed, moving on.
