So here's the deal:
I got a new PC in November 2007, this build IN GENERAL has a load of problems, and I have never been able to figure it out. This June, the video card, CPU and Motherboard were replaced. It is still having problems. I can't explain to you the problems, because there are several and they occur randomly. This thing has been to the shop 5 times, and I've done 4 or so home fixes to it.
Its specifications:
Thermaltake Soprano Dx Case (Black)
500 Watt SPi PSU
Asus Crosshair Motherboard (the Republic of Gamers Version)
AMD 6000+ @ 3.0 GHz
6 GB DDR2 RAM (XP only uses 3)
EVGA 9800 GT (it originally came with an 8600 GTS, I upgraded -> 8800 GT -> 9800 GT)
TWO 250 GB HD, don't remember the model or make :v
I guess that isn't bad, it can run source games pretty well; but it often struggles with video editing and compiling, and it can't play any new game. Anything made after CoD4 (which it has troubles with) it will crash, blue screen, or do something else that shouldn't happen.
There are a lot of games that I'm looking forward to like Modern Warfare 2, Battlefied Bad Company 2, and a few more. I really want to be able to play these games, so I'd like to update.
If I were to buy a new PC in November, what should I get?
What's out on the market, can anyone suggest some parts?
Thanks. :D
could be drivers that isn't a bad PC but tell us more of what t says when it BSOD's
