Guys, it's December.
Seasonal Affective Disorder and the usual holiday stress are kicking in--they're affecting you big time. This post is only because I care about all y'all life-newbs.
So, first of all: protip -- It's actually pretty normal to be depressed, want to die--or even merely "be emo," especially this time of year. No one's holiday season is ever perfect. In fact, it's the one time of year you pretty much have to get together with people you hate, wear uncomfortable Huxtable-era sweaters and drink enough brandy-spiked egg nog to pass out so you don't punch them.
Things will probably get better once you see more sunlight and you grow up and have more control over your life. Even if they don't, you'll learn to deal with the problems better and that's what usually makes the difference.
If you were all old enough to drink I'd invite you to my Festivus party so you could get out some of the aggression and have a great new year.
Sincerely,
Old Man Getoffmylawn
im depressed because my mom is in serious pain

Im so sad that I'm going to dress in black and cut myself with razors and wear white makeup and post sad threads on FP and be a cool kid :downs:
Luckily I've always liked snow, so I don't get SAD.
If they kill themselves then I guess we can weed out the dumb ones that way.

This is a reason to be sad. How is your mom feeling about the pain?
Edit: Just read your post in the other thread. You have my hope it gets better for her and good thoughts/vibes.
You also get less Vitamin-D during the winter as you get less sunlight on you(Probably not for all regions in the world tho), this makes you more tired and sad.
Hello? Nine whine whine? Yes we have a serious case of suicidal emos here please send a whaambulance.
If you feel tired all the time you can feel pretty isolated. That makes a lot of people depressed.

its not fucking funny
She might need to go back. How long ago was it? Does she have any follow up appointments?
Sometimes they discharge too soon. Keep on keeping an eye on her.

I'm sad because the girl I like is being a total bitch for no reason, but you don't see me making threads about it. :buddy:
Because I get over it and find something that takes my mind off it, instead of being emo.
:colbert:
fuck it im not posting in these threads anymore
its too painful and not too helpful

Okay. This is what I would do if I were in your Chuck Taylors:
If she's still suffering from some cognitive disfunction, you'll probably have to be involved with her care if your dad or her s/o or some other person isn't. Find out when she's supposed to go back to be evaluated and by who . . . tell who ever is in charge of taking her to the doctor or the doctor himself your concerns.
They might not be able to do much--but at least you'll know what's going on and how to better cope with it. Patients who can't think clearly for themselves need vocal advocates.
Edit: If your dad's got in on lock, than all you can do is be patient and be there in any way you can for your mom. It's gonna be tough--but you'll probably find that you are stronger than the circumstance.

This is a good tactic. The emotions tend to feel what the mind focuses on. Focusing on something good when you can makes the shitty a hell of a lot more tolerable.
I hate depression threads. They get me on this train of thought:
1. That guy's depressed.
2. Wait, what if I got depressed?
3. *bad mood*
I've never even been depressed, it's just my lurking hypochondria kicking in.
I have seasonal affective disorder :(

But yes man up facepunch.
You know what I like to do when I get depressed? N/A
I'm too awesome to get depressed.
For what it's worth guys, I have been depressed. I've taken several different medications (all of which only made me want to die more) and have even been to the bin overnight twice after having been in the Army. If any of you feel like muddling through "Howl" I could literally say "I'm With You in Rockland."
I grew up with a shit family life--had a shit early adulthood, and have a pretty boring lower middle class lifestyle right now that I've had to fight like hell to keep.
When they say "It gets better," and you feel it's cliched, you're right. A lot of times it doesn't. But if you hang on and don't give up--you get better at the fight. And every now and again, you stare life in the face, look at it and realize that handful of amazing moments were worth crawling through all the shit. But you have live to see them.
I'm not depressed. Certainly not happy and cheerful either, not normal either, feeling rather bad actually, but it isn't that bad.
All whiners and bitches should get over it, no matter how hard their life is currently.

DAMN YOU LACK OF C VITAMINS DAMN YOU TO HELL.
Anyway, if it weren't for winter, summer wouldn't be any fun. Could be shorter tho.
so if theres such thing as Seasonal Affective Disorder, is there such thing as Seasonal Erectile Dysfunction?
Please tell me there is for the love of god

Considering how erections can be linked to psychological factors, I'd think so.
I've never heard of that before, but I have heard of "it is tired from too much fapping."
Why the fuck do people have the urge to tell facepunch about their depressing problems. Seriously, each and everytime the same thing ('dont do it, we love you') gets posted and each and everytime nothing ever happens. Such threads should be one month bannable.
cheers, I'll be sure to let my wife know thats whats wrong with hers.
