More competiton, the PS4 better make online free again and improve PSN immensely if they want to compete.

I'm not part of an anti-xbox circlejerk here but I really don't see why someone would choose to get an Xbox over a PS4.
All of this flip-flopping and bullshit marketing has sealed the deal for me..
I'm sticking with my computer and refusing to buy any next-gen console.
Your average joe didn't care about that anyway. Everyone else has already made up their minds to get the PS4, I think.

Microsoft has been bringing nothing but good news lately. The competition is good, it's making each console better. I'm waiting to see what Sony does, though I know they're in a tight spot with their economic troubles.

Why is everyone saying the damage has already been done when the consoles haven't even released yet? First off everyone complained and wanted change, but now that Microsoft has changed everyone ignores it. They've always said that their policies are subject to change. I'm sure if Sony changes anything bout their console for the good of their consumer, you'd all be riding their dicks.

You still have to buy it though, and it's still $100 more than the PS4. Unless they come out with a version without Kinect, which is doubtful.

Because Microsoft has done an extreme amount of flip-flopping, you won't buy a console from either of the remaining two companies who have not done that?
Right now the consoles are pretty much on par (bar the netflix etc for gold only stuff)
This is good in a way, it means that Microsoft is learning that they can't screw with the consumers.

They were extremely stubborn early on despite outcry from fans, but now that the PS4 is doing leagues better, they changed everything. That to me sounds like they are only doing this because they would have struck out otherwise, rather than doing it for the good of the people.

PSN requiring PS+ is a negative idea, which may not affect everyone, but some people who played their PS3s online only because it didn't require a monthly/yearly subscription.
Just like Microsoft had some negative ideas which affected some, if not most of the Xbox One potential consumers. Now they've changed and are bringing more of a competition to the next-gen console wars, but everyone ignores that they're changing for the good. They're helping their sales, by helping the potential buyers. Why would they purposely release a console which they know will hurt them economically? They listened to feedback, and changed what they needed in order to make it better for the good of the people, which also potentially helped their sales.
I'm still gunna call my Xbox "Jarvis". :rolleyes:

Well not exactly, the PS4 still has better hardware. (Even though we are most likely to only see the maximum output of the PS4 on PS4 exclusives.)

Both consoles will sell just fine. The real result is that you and I will have a better Xbox One because of it.
The PSN+ requirement is a big deal, especially since Microsoft is offering free games with gold as well. The common argument will be the quality of the games, but that discussion shouldn't even really happen until the Xbone comes out.
