"7 pc gaming myths that some gullible buffoon believed when he was a kid and 2 not myths to pad out the article"
"duke nukem forever won't be shit"
I used to religiously believe in San Andreas myths because I'm just that fucking stupid.
When I was a kid I thought all PC games were MMOs for some reason. So this shit would've gone way above my head.
I used to legit believe that you could just download a new GPU
Imagine my disappointment when the ATI Drivers I downloaded (Mind you I had an Intel GPU) didn't increase my framerate in HL2
(snip, not raelly the kind of thing for this thread)
Not really a myth, more of a misconception: there were a lot of 360 exclusives I thought were on PC, but after I realized Halo 3 wasn't on PC, my mind shifted to the opposite and assumed that all the games Xbox players would drone on and on about were exclusive, especially if they were timed exclusive and nobody gave a shit about the year late PC release.
Also I thought that when you died or finished the game in Dead Rising you lost your stuff that you collected over that playthrough so for the longest time I thought the "designed to be played multiple times to discover all the secrets and such" gimmick was really dumb.
One myth we had in our city was about GTA Vice City.
Apparently there was 6 star wanted level and once you hit that - robocop comes out and fucks you up.
Never seen that GTA Robo cop.
