He spent five months working on it before it was passed to five other artisans for several more weeks' work. The Hat, which weighs less than one ounce, will not be blocked into a style or sized until the purchaser gives their final instructions. The Panama Hat Company of Brent Black, which commissioned the Hat, was founded in 1987 in Hawaii and their merchandise is all handcrafted and custom made to order. Clients of the company include the likes of Pierce Brosnan, Harrison Ford, Anthony Hopkins and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Panama hat is a traditional brimmed hat from Ecuador that is made from the plaited leaves of the toquilla straw plant. Their name is derived from their point of international sale rather than their place of origin. They became fashionable in the early 20th century when many travellers picked them up as they sailed through the Panama Canal. Looks fashionable.
I wouldn't take that if it was offered to me for free. Seriously, that shit's haggard, who the fuck would wear that shit.

I'd be afraid to wear it out in public-- I might get capped.
I've seen better looking panama hats.
Looks really delicate, I'd put it in a glass case.
I don't get it, looks so plain
To be released FOR FREE on the Emporium.
ya fuckin' beat me to it you lil' shit
Go ahead sue me for copyright infringement
Let me get Lankist.
nobody be assholes here, you all want that hat and you know it.
get out of my head
that is a motherfucking sexy hat
For $100,000 it better be assassination proof.
I don't get it, looks so plain
it hasn't been finished or fitted yet
I would never spend more than $20 on a hat.
i want it
I'd rather buy a helicopter with that money.
The weave count must be so high...
You could buy like three 2010 camaros with that dude
For $100,000 it better be assassination proof.
Assassnation reflective, actually. The killer is killed. Quite a useful device.
For that kind of cash I better get a blow job from that hat every time I wear it!
It looks so.... beautiful.... It's just a fucking hat, fuck that shit. EDIT: Wait wait, I got one: "I guess that guy is still using mercury when making hats"
God forbid anyone have nice things. It may be a "fucking hat" to you, but to someone else it can mean something completely different. The only thing that gets me is, if i had 100,000 i would spend it wisely. Not on a hat. But hey, if you got the money for it, get it i guess.
bad deal i get a hat just like it from the fair every season for $1
I'll just download it from Pirate Bay.
t-pain hats are cooler
I'd buy it an not wear it, just to have it.
I would buy it, wait a long ass time, profit :buddy:
I'm sure that I could buy a hat for $5-$10 that looks and feels almost the same, and still works just as well. That hat probably won't even be worn due to how expensive it is. But it's amazing that it's made from the leaves of a plant - it requires true skill to accomplish something like this with that type of material.
