Well, I'm a goddamn idiot and accidentally deleted the partition that had all, and I mean all of my backup data, since I was reformatting my computer. I'm not too sure if I hit the "Delete" or "Format" option during the Windows 7 install, all I know is I don't have my goddamn important files. I can still actually see the partition, but it's empty now. Is there a good program to recover the data from that partition, or am I now utterly fucked?
Windows 7 backs up all your stuff automatically.
Where is this magical backup folder located?
Should be in whatever drive you installed the OS to.
On mine it was in a folder called "Windows.old"
Yeah, no, that's when you install Windows 7 over another OS. I formatted the drive and installed fresh.
[sp]And way to rate yourself there buddy.[/sp]
Oh, I don't know much about computers so you're probably fucked, mate.
I was pretty useful imo and I have things under my name.
I'm giving you a useful rating, not because you're useful, but because you're a massive tool.
A rating is a rating.
There are plenty of great programs, they just cost money.
CBL has been the best I've used.
Doesn't Windows.old only show up when you reformat?
