Oh jeez. Those trackpads dont look like they'll work very well.
Oh jeez. Not liking the look of those trackpads.
Why not?
I was skeptical but this makes it seem like its actually pretty great.
Oh jeez. Not liking the look of those trackpads.
I would rather have an ugly good functioning product than a nice looking product that works like a piece of shit.
I'm REALLY hoping that with non-legacy games you'll be able to "push" the cursor by putting your thumb on the edge of the ring. It would be (at least on paper) the perfect compromise between precision and coverage. The majority of the space is used for precision movement while the outer edge makes it behave more like a joystick.
Looks great. I love that 1:1 movement thing. Can't wait to buy it.
Remember a controller doesn't have to look appealing to work well.

In the video he uses both track pads at the same time to move the mouse faster, but I'm not quite sure what you mean by push the mouse.
He re centers his thumb a couple times, like when you reach the end of the mouse pad with your mouse. He means instead of re centering your thumb, it just keeps moving, pretty much like any RTS when you move the mouse to the edge of the screen.

Well I hope they add that, that should be a basic feature. I'm sure they will at least give you the opportunity later on if they haven't already.
Doesn't look that bad, truth be told. He accomplished a better time on the CS:GO training map than I did on my first try with an actual mouse and keyboard. [editline]12th October 2013[/editline] I'm also noticing the level of precision with which he can mouse through menus in Civ 5. With an analog stick mapped to mouse movement, doing that becomes a gigantic pain in the ass. Believe me, I tried.
Looks pretty good. Might need some practice on start but I think the average KB&M user could get familiar with this fairly easily.
might get this for stuff like Darksiders and Dark Souls

These are just default setups.
It looks really precise. I hope trackpads will be used more than thumbsticks in the future.
The best thing compared to your usual trackpads will probably be the haptic feedback. I want that technology to advance even more!
