Ever wish your glass of malbec was just a tad more musical. No, of course not. But we all grew up knowing that our mothers' glassware could make sweet music. These glasses were made to satisfy that kid inside.

Each glass is marked with musical notation to denote the amount of liquid—alcoholic or otherwise—to create the perfect pitch. They're sold in pairs at £23.50 (about $38), so start saving up so you can play that sonata.

Small article but I think its pretty cool.
I could see a bunch of people whining over this. >_>
Seems like it'd be hard to tune exactly
Reminds me of this one time when I was on holiday in London(I think, can't remember where it was) and there was a guy playing the Harry Potter theme and other songs with glasses. It was awesome.

Does it work like this, or sliding a wet finger around the rim (or what it's called)?

Yeah, and since every liquid generally has a different density, it would also depend on what liquid you put in the glass.
At least I think...

It's sure to sound different if you put mercury into it than it would with water. But I'm not sure that the density of water is that much different than that of wine.

Fixed
Hah, get it? :v:
Where can I buy these? It'd be the perfect gift for someone I know.

I'm pretty sure the density of the liquid doesn't affect the pitch at all. It's the column of air that's vibrating.

If you were trying to do a pun, I fixed your wording.
how exactly do you produce the sound
i've never understood this

If the liquid is dense enough to prevent the glass from moving its going to be unable to move the air.
Cool, but a ripoff

Reminds me of the Blade Runner soundtrack, until it's recognizably Pink Floyd.
