Windows Movie Maker no longer recognizes AVI files

Yes, yes, I'm too cheap to get anything better than WMM.
Anyways. I've been doing Let's Plays for a while now. Fraps records in AVI, right? So I'd just use that in WMM for my LPs.
And then a virus got my computer so I had to reformat (I couldn't even start up my computer).
Now WMM thinks that AVI files are sound and not video.
Anyone know how to change this?
