• AMD Radeon HD 6570 - Temp issues

I'm not sure what all happened, but I had fired up TF2 and was playing for roughly 10 minutes before my PC just kind of....shut down on its own. So after some Googling, I found the issue may be caused by the video card overheating. I tried firing up Catalyst Control Center only to find it was reporting there were no drivers installed (odd). So I reinstalled drivers and finally got CCC running. I'm seeing a temp reading of 80-83 degrees C and that's while just running Firefox. What is odd is that I recently cleaned the dust out of my PC a few days ago (my PC is a Gateway DX4860, Intel Core i5-2320 (3.00GHz, 8GB ram)) and happened to use an air compressor when doing so. I kinda spun the fans to the point of whining with the air compressor in an effort to get the dust off. GPU clock is at 650MHz, Memory clock is at 800MHz and fan speed is 60% (it was 45% but I increased it based upon a Google result about video card temp) What would've caused the sudden shutdown and the subsequent "lack of drivers"? Would this "lack of drivers" also explain the seemingly random BSOD's I've been hit with as of late (about 3 this month, twice when I started a YouTube video which resulted in a horrible whine emanating from my headphones)? Did I fuck up the fans? I'm so confused as to what to do/what is going on, but I do plan on backing up all my files onto my external HDD just in case something goes wrong.
Did you replace the thermal paste?
Pepper;47264280']Did you replace the thermal paste?
Why?
Why?
It helps the heat transfer from the chip to the heatsink. If your thermal paste is shite/got dirt in there then you get these problems.

Also, I'm thinking I should check my fans to see if they're even running. Still a bit freaked out about the tower just shutting itself off after 10 minutes of TF2.
So I have a feeling the GPU fan may be fucked. SpeedFan was showing the RPM as 0. I read somewhere to try GPU-Z and if it reported 0 RPM, then I should be worried. Nevermind, I just stuck my hand under the GPU to feel the heat, and felt a fan. Upon moving it the tiniest bit with my finger, it spun right up. It is running at 100% though, so I need to fix that.
You can change the fan speed in the Catalyst Control centre.
You can change the fan speed in the Catalyst Control centre.
I know that :v: I set it at 100% to test if it was working. Christ, I thought I fried my video card or something. I switched it back to automatic fan control. I just felt around to see how hot the video card was getting without realizing there was a fan on it. Then I felt the tiny little bugger and when I touched it, it spun right up. Temp is showing a nice 42 degrees C.
