So there's this archive where I stored an important file a few years ago, it's in .ize (izarc) format, and I now need to open it, but forgot the password. It's there a way to crack the file that's inside of it out without having to remember the password?
It depends, do you usually make word passwords (1 or more words, can be without spaces, but has no numbers/random letters/special characters), or do you go for random strings as passwords?
I don't know of the actual programs, but if your password word featured anywhere in the dictionary, it can be cracked by a brute force program.
Every word I just typed it would guess as your password.
And you can even crack it if you've got a password like 930023u 9=0*+#)U p5t9y
Just would take incredibly long..
