• Toshiba Satellite fan not working after bootup

Hey Facepunch, I have a Toshiba Satellite M645 and have been having problems with the cooling fan for the past few weeks. Once the computer has booted, the fan seems to be stuck at it's lowest speed. When the computer is booting up and using a lot of the CPU the fan speeds seem to be fine. Whenever I watch a video or run a game, the fan doesn't increase RPM as it should so the computer overheats and shuts off in about 5 minutes. Is there a solution to this? I've looked everywhere for a program to control the fan speed but none of them seem to work on Toshiba's. I posted this on the Toshiba forums and everyone who seems to have this issue has been ignored by the Toshiba staff. Hope you can help! Thanks!
Check toshiba website for a program, and also check inside all the bios settings for anything to do with the fan
Did both, no dice.
