• Need a graphics card

I'm going to get MW2 for PC, but my graphics card can't play it (the rest of my PC is fine) so I am looking to buy a new graphics card. I don't really want anything that's over £50 and I'd like an ATI for various reasons, so do you guys have any suggestions? Sorry I forgot to mention that I would like a 512Mb card

Most of the cards these days are around the 512mb video memory. But remember, when it comes to video cards it's not about how much memory you got. Just set yourself a price range/budget (like maybe nothing over $200). Go on Tigerdirect/Newegg, and shop around for cards just under that limit. once you get a few good models check out some benchmarks for the cards, they'll tell you how well they perform against one another.
I find it astounding how when the OP mentions his price limit in £ that people come around suggesting to not spend over $200 and to shop on Tigerdirect/Newegg.
PC specs please. [Rant] Garry should make a big red flashing banner that shows before you post where people are told to post their spec's. Half my postcount is this: "PC specs please." [/Rant]
Although it seems irrelevant: 4gigs of ram Intel core 2 duo 2.6GHz ATI x800 (this is what I want to change)
Although it seems irrelevant: 4gigs of ram Intel core 2 duo 2.6GHz ATI x800 (this is what I want to change)
Your PC specs are anything BUT irrelevant. It gives us an idea of what kind of gcard would be appropriate for your PC so that it isn't being bottlenecked or running underpowered.
Although it seems irrelevant: 4gigs of ram Intel core 2 duo 2.6GHz ATI x800 (this is what I want to change)
it's completely relevant. We want to know if we should get you an AGP, PCI, or PCI-e x16 card. And your card can be either AGP or PCI-e x16 (http://ati.amd.com/products/radeonx800/radeonx800series/index.html) if it's AGP, your choice of cards is severely limited and will cost more than their PCI-e x16 counterparts. if it's PCI-e x16, then the only thing that would be holding you back from your 5750 would be your power supply and budget. So now we need to know which motherboard you have in order to determine which type of card you need. If your computer's a prebuilt - give us the manufacturer and model (ex - Dell XPS 730) If it was custom built, just let us know or if you can't remember get CPU-Z and tell us what's under the motherboard tab.
