• Windows XP SP3 does not boot up anymore, cash reward

Today there was a power failure in my town. I had my computer just started up and it was at the login screen. Right at that point the power went off. After a reboot the "windows wasn't booted correctly" popped up and ordered my to choose start normally. However the computer rebooted, starting in safemode does the same. I managed to load a very VERY old backup from my secondary HD tho. How can I repair this without a recovery cd and without wiping the registry and desktop elements? I hope it is even possible to copy files from the working backup into the main, that would make things easier. 5€ over paypal or a steam game in the same amount to whom, who get this working again. If more then one deserve that I may need to choose randomly.
try copying the system files -edit- i tryed
that didn't help. However someone helped me over msn, everything works now. So 5€ are gone.
