The same day Darkest Dungeon comes out of Early Access. Coincidence? Probably.
It's pretty neat, but can end up getting pretty damn hard the further in you get to the world. Though I wish its aiming was 8-way like Contra, but that's probably just me being spoiled by Axiom Verge.
Best played in 2 player coop. With 3 or 4 you have to argue too much about who gets a powerup / not enough for power ups for so many players.
My advice in co-op is to get good at killing things without items. Mercenary requires a bit of unlocking, but he's easily one of the best co-op characters in the game, what with his kit revolving around staying invincible for as long as plausible.
Yeah, two players is great for this. Bought it for a friend on sale and we sat down and went full bandit mode on it. Was great.
