Known Species
The Grey ( Most Information from Wikipedia):

The Grey's are the Stereotypical alien figures that there has been reports on for many decades.
The Term Grey comes from the U.S military.
Appearance
They are typically depicted as gray-skinned diminutive humanoid beings that possess reduced forms of or outright lack human organs and anatomical components. Their bodies are usually depicted as being elongated, having a small chest, and lacking in muscular definition and visible skeletal structure. Their legs are shorter and jointed differently than one would expect in a human. Their limbs are often depicted as proportionally different than a human's; their humerus and thighs are the same lengths as their forearms and shins, respectively. They may have 3-5 fingers and may be depicted as lacking opposable thumbs.

Encounters:
Among reports of supposed alien encounters, Greys make up approximately 43 percent in the United States, 90 percent in Canada, 67 percent in Brazil, 20 percent in Continental Europe, and 12 percent in Great Britain.
History
The British science fiction writer H.G. Wells, in the article "Man of the Year Million" in 1893, describes humanity transformed into a race of gray-skinned beings, stunted and with big heads. In his book "The First Men in the Moon" in 1901, Selenites, or natives of the Moon, are described as having gray skin, big heads, large black eyes and wasp stings.
In 1965, newspaper reports of the Betty and Barney Hill abduction brought Greys to international attention. The alleged abductees, Betty and Barney Hill, claimed to have been abducted by Greys and taken to a saucer-shaped spaceship in 1961. From a star chart reported by Betty Hill, an elementary school teacher and amateur astronomer, Marjorie Fish, concluded that the home planet of the Greys was located in the Zeta Reticuli system - they are therefore sometimes known as Zeta Reticulans.
Close Encounters
Greys are commonly included in alien abduction claims and are a focus of ufology, with attributes that may differ from those described above. These claims include two distinct groups of Greys that differ in height. Abductees say that they recognize the leader of their abductors by its "demeanor." Some ufologists and abduction researchers believe that taller Greys, with their reported increased authority and apparently more complex psychology may be the only Grey type to be biologically alive and that the shorter form could be their artificially constructed robot or cyborg servants.
Some alien abduction reports have depicted variant skin colors such as blue-grey, green-grey, or purple-grey and some times not grey at all. The skin is typically described as being extremely smooth, almost as if made of an artificial material like rubber or plastic.
Abduction claims are described as extremely traumatic, similar to an abduction by humans or even a sexual assault in the level of trauma and distress. (Research have shown that emotional impact of perceived abduction can be as great or greater than those of combat, sexual abuse, and other punishing events.)
The eyes are often a focus of abduction claims. They are said to not move or focus in any observable way. Claims often describe a Grey staring into the eyes of an abductee when conducting mental procedures. This staring is claimed to induce hallucinogenic states or directly provoke different emotions. Although abduction claimants often say that the Grey was only inches from their face during the staring mindscan procedure, they often do not subsequently claim feeling breath or seeing the Grey's chest move from breathing.
Conspiracy Theories
Some conspiracy theorists believe that Greys represent part of a government-led disinformation or plausible deniability campaign, or that they are a product of Government mind control experiments. Dr. Steven Greer, head of CSETI and a prominent UFO conspiracy theorist, claims that over 400 "government, military, and intelligence community witnesses" have offered testimony to the existence of aliens and UFO and/or efforts to cover up their existence.
Reptillian (Information from Wikipedia)
Reptilian humanoids are a common motif in mythology, folklore, science fiction, fantasy, conspiracy theories, and cryptozoology and ufology. Depending on context they are known by many names, including Snakepeople, Reptoids, Dinosauroids, Lizardfolk, Lizard People, Lizardmen, or, in the context of conspiracy theories, Anunnaki.
Appearance
For the Most part, there has never been any real reports or claims of these creatures being seen, but obviously from what people believe the Reptilians are Humanoid creatures that have scaly skin.
Russel proposed that this Dinosauroid, like most dinosaurs of the troodontid family, would have had large eyes and three fingers on each hand, one of which would have been partially opposed. As with most modern reptiles (and birds), he conceived of its genitalia as internal. Russell speculated that it would have required a navel, as a placenta aids the development of a large brain case. However, it would not have possessed mammary glands, and would have fed its young, as birds do, on regurgitated food. He speculated that its language would have sounded somewhat like bird song.

Encounters
None.
History
The Reptilian has it's place in almost every religion, and almost every massive folklore tradition.
But has no solid history.
Evolutionary thought experiment
A theoretical reptilian humanoid has also been the focus of a widely discussed thought experiment in speculative evolution. In particular, in 1982 paleontologist Dale Russell, curator of vertebrate fossils at the National Museum of Canada in Ottawa, conjectured a possible evolutionary path that might have been taken by the dinosaur Troodon (then called Stenonychosaurus) had they not all perished in the K/T extinction event 65 million years ago. The essence of this thought experiment was that bipedal predators (theropods) which existed at that time, such as Troodon, could have evolved into intelligent beings similar in body plan to humans. Over geologic time, Russell noted that there had been a steady increase in the encephalization quotient or EQ (the relative brain weight when compared to other species with the same body weight) among the dinosaurs. Russell had discovered the first Troodontid skull, and noted that, while its EQ was low compared to humans, it was six times higher than that of other dinosaurs. If the trend in Troodon evolution had continued to the present, its brain case could by now measure 1,100 cm3; comparable to that of a human. Troodontids had semi-manipulative fingers, able to grasp and hold objects to a certain degree, and binocular vision.
Conspiracy Theories
According to writer David Icke, 7-foot (2.1 m) tall, blood-drinking, shape-shifting reptilian humanoids from the Alpha Draconis star system are the force behind a worldwide conspiracy directed at humanity. He claims that the reptilians maintain their control through the generation of fear and negative emotion, which is food to these entities, by manufacturing conflicts, primarily wars. He contends that most of the world's leaders are in fact related to these reptilians. Icke's theories now have supporters in 47 countries and he frequently gives lectures to crowds of 2,500 or more.
Icke draws connections between the reptilian aliens in his theories and the Annunaki depicted in Zecharia Sitchin's 12th Planet, which has led to other conspiracy theorists referring to reptilian humanoids as the "Annunaki"; however, Sitchin himself has always described his Annunaki as purely humanoid.
I will add more species soon.

So what are your beliefs on Alien life?
Discuss anything about Aliens here.

Life does not have to be humanoid to be sentient and at or above human intelligence.
Aliens exist, somewhere, but are most likely not humanoid.
Uhh guessing from the photos i say that well maybe they crashed one day... :P
Swamp gas.
Damn this looks so much like a badage boys thread
That reptile alien bust looks like a statue of a Troodon (a dinosaur) that I've seen once, same eyes and skin, maybe its from the same artist.
but anyway, the universe is pretty big to just have only one life supporting world but w/e.
Training Accident.
Lol, "known species".
That Aliens have never visited earth, but they do infact 'exist'. Or well, other lifeforms do somewhere in the universe. Not sure if there as smart as us, or smarter, but yeah.
"Sometimes I think we're alone in the universe, and sometimes I think we're not. In either case, the idea is quite staggering."

I luv quotes lol!

Pretty much. This is the extent to which I believe in alien life, basically.

When the move E.T. came out my dad thought it said E.T. The Extra Testical...
Want me to give my two cents?
First off, I believe that life is relatively common in the Galaxy, but INTELLIGENT life is exceedingly rare.
As to explain ET sightings. How can a civilization with technology millions of years more advanced then ours, a civilization that can warp space-time to its whim, be smart enough to perform Hyper-spatial propulsion yet dumb enough to be seen by a bunch of rednecks on a country road?
They will pick a time and place of THEIR choosing if they reveal themselves to us, not ours.
Don't post this shit on facepunch,

I believe there is something out there. It wouldn't make sense that we are the only ones.

i dont think we've advanced enough technologically to determine whether there is or isn't life outside of our galaxy.
aliens are fucked
they are beings that aren't from our planet
i dont think we've advanced enough technologically to determine whether there is or isn't life outside of our galaxy.
okay.
To think that we are the only life in the universe is stupid.
To think that we are the smartest of all life in the universe is stupid.

Something that is infinite has infinite possibilities.
Yeah the government isn't hiding anything from us. They were trying to hide their planes from the Russians.

The universe is not infinite. Plus probablity means that it's possible that Earth harbours the only life in the universe, it's not probable.

I can't shake the feeling we are one long running alien prank.
